So lots has been happening in my world that prevented an article in the last few weeks! Firstly, I was busy working with a bunch of wonderful 14/15-year olds who were on stage last week presenting their Steampunk version of Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona .
Secondly, I've just written and recorded a little poetry to celebrate the launch of Casabio, Dr David Gwynne-Evans’ fantastic Cape-based non profit ‘herbarium’ with a difference.
Thirdly, we've had a few well-attended in-person gatherings at Samhitakasha lately: the website needs serious updating as it's not currently open as accommodation but we've got some lovely creative events happening now occasionally and plans for others. Probably best to drop me a message if you're a Cape Town resident and want to know what's happening by being on the admin-post-only WhatsApp group.
The last episode of the podcast featured Ursula and the Spiral Walk, a faery tale I wrote many years ago but only now recorded. (It’s also available in written form for those who’ve chipped in a little here to a paid subscription, one of a tiny number of perks at present for those people - but the support is very much appreciated!)
New material in the form of articles and podcasts are definitely on their way again in the next week or two, as spring begins to finally do its thing here in the Cape.
